Box Tops for Education
Have you heard about our NEW BOX TOPS challenge? Want to show your school spirit?
Have a few minutes while the kids are doing their homework? Click on the logo above to learn more about the Box Tops for Education program. We can earn money on the things we already buy! We can also earn bonus box tops just by playing some fun games, too!
Homework Help is available at Simi Valley Public Library
Homework help is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 (except school holidays and breaks) in the Children's Room. This is a drop in, first come, first served program for elementary school children who need help in any subject. High school and college student volunteers are ready to assist your child - free of charge. NOTE: parents must stay in the building while your child is being helped. Any questions, please contact Jodi Regan, Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator for SVPL, firstname.lastname@example.org or 805-526-1735 x 5015.
Please note: Report Cards will NOT be printed this semester. SVUSD is making every effort possible to go green, and this means refraining from printing anything that can be found online.
If you have not yet activated your personal Parent Portal, please do so ASAP. You can see our friendly office staff if you need your child's activation code re-printed.
Report cards are now available to view online by clicking on the Aeries Parent Portal tab to the right. To view the report card, please click on the 'Grades' tab once you are in your personalized portal. See your teacher if you have any questions. Thank you!
What's the Buzz on Technology?
You may have seen some activity in and out of Room P-2. We have a new computer lab going into the room, which will allow an entire class to use a computer for whole class instruction (our previous lab only had 20 computers).
In addition to our new lab, each classroom has AT LEAST one iPad tablet for use in their classroom. This tablet allows teachers and students to project what they are doing onto the classroom projector/SMARTboard for all to view.
This is only a start to our new technology implementation at White Oak.
Look at what we're reading!
